Osthi is a tamil remake of blockbuster hit 'Dabangg' directed by S.Dharani starring little superstar Silambarasan and Richa Gangopadhyay playing his love interest while Sonu Sood, Saranya Mohan, Nizhalgal Ravi, Revathi, Ganesh, Santhanam, Mayilsamy, Thambi Ramaiah, Mallika Sherawat & Githan Ramesh playing other important roles in the movie.
Simbu plays the role of a cop in Oosthi while Revathi plays his mother and Nizhalgal Ravi as his step father and Jithan Ramesh plays his brother. Richa Gangopadhyay plays his love interest.
Simbu is a corrupted police officer who falls in love with Richa. Simbu and his brother Jithan Ramesh are against each other as they are step brothers. Jithan Ramesh becomes selfish of his brother and joins the don group who ends up in trouble. Though Simbu is not in good terms with his own brother saves from the clutches of the villians.
